Account Manager (New York City Area)

As we prepare to launch in New York, we are seeking a seasoned and ambitious Account Manager to help build and scale our presence in one of the most dynamic and rapidly evolving cannabis markets in the country. This role is foundational — you will be responsible for establishing key retail partnerships, driving velocity, and helping shape long-term success in New York.
Key Responsibilities
Build the Market from the Ground Up
- Lead OGeez’s retail expansion across New York City area by identifying, onboarding, and developing high-value dispensary partnerships
- Establish OGeez! as a must-carry brand by driving early adoption, strong sell-through, and consistent reorders
Drive Revenue & Velocity
- Execute strategies to achieve or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets
- Focus on velocity-driven growth — increasing units per SKU, expanding SKU assortment, and earning additional shelf space through performance
Account Development & Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with dispensary buyers, managers, and staff
- Maintain account engagement with regular communication, reviews, and in-store presence
Distribution & Territory Expansion
- Expand OGeez’s footprint by increasing doors, geographic coverage, and SKU penetration
- Strategically prioritize accounts to maximize impact and efficiency
Pricing, Promotions & Negotiation
- Manage pricing and promotional strategy with retail partners
- Balance velocity, brand positioning, and margin integrity in negotiations
- Implement promotional programs, including in-store activations, and seasonal campaigns
Trade Marketing & Brand Execution
- Partner with marketing to execute product launches, merchandising, and in-store support
- Ensure shelf presence, menu accuracy, and brand consistency across accounts
Education & Sell-Through Enablement
- Conduct budtender trainings and product education sessions
- Equip retail staff with the knowledge and enthusiasm to recommend OGeez! products
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer feedback
- Maintain sales forecasts, pipeline tracking, and performance reporting
- Leverage data to inform strategy and identify opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in sales, account management, or related field
- Experience in cannabis and/or consumer packaged goods (CPG, alcohol, or adjacent industries) strongly preferred
- Ability to build a territory and drive revenue growth in a competitive market
- Strong understanding of retail dynamics, including pricing, promotions, and merchandising
- Data-driven mindset with experience using sales and market analytics tools
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Willingness to travel frequently within New York City area (50%+)
- Valid driver’s license; reliable transportation (depending on assigned territory)
Compensation & Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package designed to reward performance and growth. Compensation consists of base salary, commission, and quarterly performance bonus, with all-in target compensation between $90,000 – $120,000, with meaningful upside tied to performance
